About Driffield & District Business Club In 2008, Jim Ezard realised that there was a real need for a networking group for local business owners in the Driffield area.
Although larger networking groups existed further afield, it was apparent that small business owners felt that they couldn’t justify the cost of joining the larger organisations. It was also the case that the geographical distance of some of these other groups meant that there were few networking benefits for the small businesses in and around Driffield. As a local business owner himself, Jim had experienced these challenges first hand.
Jim approached several Driffield-based business associates, and together they formed the Driffield Business Club. Run by volunteers, the Club is able to offer small businesses the support and opportunities that they need right on their doorstep, without the relatively high costs of membership associated with the larger networking groups.
As more and more local business owners discovered the Club, the area covered by it increased and it was subsequently renamed the Driffield & District Business Club. The list of members is now over 40 and includes businesses from a wide range of industry sectors.
The Club works closely with Driffield Town Council to promote the best interests of members and the prosperity of Driffield town.
